I have an account with DHL and Aramex Shop and Ship services…the similarity stops here!
From experience, DHL costs more as they charge you for Custom Duties and if there is no Custom Duties, there is always the charge of SR 95 for Custom Clearance! In many occasions, I had to pay Custom Duties on my Personal imports, and without paying it, my import will not be delivered.
The same personal import gets cleared by Aramex via Custom without any duties…I have raised this matter to DHL attention, but they failed to explain it satisfactory nor to take the matter seriously to investigate, because it is the customer who pays!
From personal experience, my advice to all my friends is to use Aramex shop and ship service instead of DHL to avoid paying unnecessary extra’s.
